Week 4 – Spirituality (April, 10, 2020)

“Man shall not live on bread alone.”
The power of faith can indeed move mountains.

For this week, we will focus on the power of spirituality.
This post is not meant as an endorsement for any religion.
Currently, we are in what Christians call Holy Week. Raised catholic, my grandmother showed me how to observe in her own way.
Lots of the way people observe has changed since. Nonetheless, a time of reflection and a time we remember Jesus Christ and his journey.

I’m pleased to have Elizabeth Zaiter, MSW, who will share the importance of integrating faith and spirituality in our life experiences. Elizabeth will help identify faith as a supportive resource and how we can grow in one’s faith during these trying times, by using Jesus Christ as an example. .

In this meeting, we will speak about how
Jesus can relate to our feelings of:
1. Loneliness
2. Betrayed by friends
3. Abandonment
4. Fear
5. Experienced physical pain
This meeting will fall on Good Friday. I hope some of you can make it.

In addition to her work as a classroom teacher and teacher leader, Julissa’s experience includes that of being an instructional coach, induction mentor, and programming consultant for volunteer tutoring organizations, such as  America Reads and Counts foundation.

Luisa has an extensive background in psychology and has earned Master Degrees in Neuroscience and Applied Positive Psychology. With more than 12 years of experience, Luisa has designed and facilitated wellness programs, workshops and trainings for women in more than 10 countries worldwide including Kenya, Colombia, UK, Mexico, Paraguay, and USA. Her passion is to help women develop the required skills to reach their potential and enhance their well-being.

Week 3 – Brand Strategy in time of COVID-19



Learn how to transform this time of quarantine and cultivate a new vision for your brand + business. Create a game plan for pursuing your passion so you can align what lights you up with profitability.

Our guest Vicky Ayala will join us in sharing ideas of what you can do now to create a brand.

Many people are looking for ways to bring in income from their passions. Sometimes, during a crisis, we give that passion a chance.

In this meeting, we will address any new financial questions (our groups does a good job of figuring out the resources available).

We will also check in on managing stress.

I will offer ideas for creating a schedule for your week.

Vicky took the entrepreneurial leap of faith during the 2002 recession and revamped my brand during the 2008 recession and now I’m pivoting again with the pandemic – along with all of the shifts during normal times.
